As you can imagine, the system would get quite toasty!!! Boosted it would go all the way to the CPU designed limits of 5 GHz (and stay there for no apparent reason - this occurred even after the clean Win 10 install) and reach temps as high as 100c (212F). But never the Hoover Vacuum Cleaner volume they used to come on constantly when the system was allowed to boost the CPUs. The fans rarely come on to the point that I can hear them. MY processors are loitering around the 989 - 1500 MHz and are limited to the hardware max of 2595 MHz (2.6 GHz) with a High CPU temp of 60C / 140f.
Now my laptop, running two external displays through a USB-C Hub runs nice and cool (system temp never exceeds 44 degrees C (111 degrees F) as measured with CPUID. I noted that my processors were constantly running in the boosted ranges even when the PC was only doing very minor stuff. I went into BIOS and turned OFF the TURBO BOOST.
